Boutique Hotel De Heerlyckheid is located in the former sanatorium Sint Bernardus, where local nuns nursed their patients with loving care. This building, which is a listed property, is situated on the market square at the very heart of Bredevoort. The hotel’s large terrace and garden border the beautiful Vestingpark, located where the town’s defensive walls used to be. The Lourdes cave and the tbc huts date back to the time when the park served as the sanatorium gardens.
Brasserie De Heerlyckheid is an elegantly furnished restaurant with a wonderful outdoor terrace, serving breakfast lunch, and elaborate dinners to our guests on a daily basis. All of the food is prepared in our own kitchen, mainly based on authentic French cuisine and sometimes incorporating Asian flavours. The menu changes all the time, and our aim is always to serve delicious, quality food at an affordable rate. Beef croquettes or lobster, oysters or carpaccio, or a nice, familiar sandwich – the options are endless.
